DAY TRIP TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Take a Day trip to the Lake Nakuru National Park which lies in central Kenya, 160KM North-West of Nairobi in Rift Valley. The Park provides the visitors with one of Kenya’s best known images. Thousands of flamingo, joined into a massive flock, fringe the shores of the Soda Lake. The park has become the famous for birds who visits the lake feed on algae that forms on the lake bed. They move back and forth, feeding occasionally and spectacularly taking to flight, filling the sky over the lake with colors. The park is Kenya’s first Rhino Sanctuary and an important sanctuary for Rhino. Both Black and White Rhinos are found in the park and they are often seen resting under the acacias by the Lake Shores. The huge herds of Waterbucks, Zebras, Buffaloes, the endangered Rothschild giraffe, Leopard, several large prides of Lions and more. Exploring beyond the Lake is always rewarding and forests, cliffs, waterfalls and more to be found.
